The Student Council in Al Hamraa International Schools is excited to share the success of a recent volunteer initiative, where our students engaged in meaningful activities with the elderly residents at Abdul Latif Jameel Hospital.
This effort was aimed at supporting both their physical and mental health, while strengthening social connections and fostering a sense of community and belonging.
Goals of the Volunteer Activities:
- Physical Health: The carefully planned activities were designed to strengthen muscles, increase flexibility, and improve balance—important factors for maintaining independence and mobility among seniors.
- Improved Quality of Life: Beyond physical benefits, the activities also provided psychological support, offering a sense of purpose and fulfillment. This holistic approach significantly enhanced the well-being of the elderly participants.
By participating in this initiative, our students not only made a positive impact on the lives of the elderly, but also gained valuable insights into the importance of social responsibility and community engagement.
We look forward to continuing this meaningful work, making a lasting difference in the lives of others while reinforcing the values of empathy, care, and contribution to society.
